Day by Day Itinerary
Kathgodam to Pithoragarh
Activities
- To begin the journey to Adi Kailash and Om Parvat, travelers from all over the country arrive at Kathgodam Railway Station (554 m), which is the main entry point for visiting the Kumaon region of Uttarakhand. Kathgodam is well connected to almost all major towns by road and rail. Kathgodam is an important location and entry point not only for visiting Adi Kailash, Om Parvat Tour and many other pilgrimage sites in Kumaon, Uttarakhand, but also for those travelling along the Kailash Mannsarovar Yatra through the Lipulekh Pass.
- After reaching Kathgodam in Haldwani, the group headed to Bhimtal for refreshments. From Bhimtal, the group set out for Pithoragarh, visiting several important pilgrimage sites on the way, including Neem Karoli Baba in Kanchi Dham, Golu Devta Mandir in Almora, and Jogeshwar Dham. When you reach Pithoragarh (1627 m), you will stay overnight and have your meal at the hotel/KMVN Rest House.

Pithoragarh to Dharchula
Activities
- After breakfast, the group departs for Dharchula. Dharchula is a beautiful town located at an altitude of 940 meters above sea level, nestled in the arms of the beautiful mountains of Kumaon Uttrakhand. Dharchula is surrounded by mountains and is divided into two parts by the Kali River. On the journey across the India-Nepal border, travelers will enter the restricted area of Kumaon today. Inner Line Pass will be processed for travelers today. At leisure, tourists can go to the Nepal side to explore the Nepalese bazaar. Overnight and dinner at the hotel in Dharchula.

Dharchula to Gunji/Nabi
Activities
- Gunji is a small village at 3200 m above sea level, close to the India-Tibet border. Gunji is the base for travelers heading to Adi Kailash and Om Parvat. The Kailash Man Sarovar Yatra organized by the Indian Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) via the Lipulekh Pass also passes through Gunji. Today, travelers drive from Dharchula to Gunji, passing through the beautiful villages of Chialekh, Garbyang and Nepalchu, enjoying stunning views of mountains, waterfalls and rivers along the way. Meals and overnight stay are arranged in guesthouses or private accommodation in Gunji.

Drive to Jyolingkong to visit Adi Kailash Mountain
Activities
- Today tourists will take a local jeep to Jyolingkong (4762 m above sea level) to experience the holy darshan of Adi Kailash. On the way to Adi Kailash, we also see Kunti Parvat, Pandav Fort, Brahma Parvat, Pandav Parvat and Parvati Mukut. From Jyolingkong, we walk another 3-4 km to visit Parvati Lake (Gauri Kund) and Adi Kailash Temple. One can take a holy bath in the lake and carry some holy water in bottles. After staying here for some time, the travelers return to Qunji.

Drive to Om Parvat via Kalapani/Dharchula
Activities
- Today after breakfast, we will drive to Om Parvat, which is the mountain that is naturally covered with snow in the shape of "Om". After about 22 km, tourists reach Nabhidang (4340 meters above sea level), the viewpoint of Om Parvat. Spend some time here and then return to Gunji. On the way back to Gunji, enjoy the stunning views of Shesnag Parvat, visit Ved Vyas Gufa and perform puja at the famous Kali temple in Kalapani village. Return to Dharchula for overnight stay.

- After breakfast, travelers will embark on their journey home either directly or via Kathgodam. Transportation to Kathgodam is organized by the NTP Department of Tourism Affairs.
