Day by Day Itinerary
Paro to Thimphu
Activities
- (5 hrs) A lovely beginning of your Bhutan Tour! we will catch the coach at the Bhutan side and we will continue our journey to Thimphu, the Capital city of Bhutan. The Journey will take us through the dense forest and the beautiful waterfalls in the (summer), so one shall keep cameras handy to capture the beautiful sceneries around. On arrival check in to your hotel and take rest. Dinner in hotel. Overnight: Thimphu | Altitude: 2300m.
Thimphu – Sightseeing
Activities
- After a leisure breakfast at hotel, we all will drive to Buddha Dordenma, which is considered to be one of the world’s largest sitting buddha statue.. After this we will continue our drive to sangaygang view point from where we will enjoy the view of Thimphu city then if time permit, visit Simtokha dzong which is known as the first Dzong build by Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyal. Break for Lunch. After lunch visit Authentic Craft Market, later on one can walk around town. Thimphu city is the only city in the world which doesn’t have traffic Signals. Evening at Leisure. Overnight:Thimphu- Altitude:2300m
Thimphu-Punakha
Activities
- (2 hrs) Drive to Punakha. On the way stop at Dochula Pass (10000ft/3100m) the country’s most beautiful Pass from where you can enjoy the view of Himalaya Ranges. Upon arrival to Punakha, visit suspension Bridge, the suspension bridge is almost 250m long which is located very much near to Punakha Dzong and is the longest suspension bridge in Bhutan built above Pho Chhu River. Later stall around Punakha valley and after some time check in to the hotel. Overnight: Punakha| altitude: 1300m.
Punakha- Paro (3.5 hrs.)

- Morning, after breakfast your drive today will take you to Paro. After the scenic drive to Paro, we will make a visit to the ruins of DrukgyalDzong,built by Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyal,father and unifier of medieval Bhutan. Explore the ramparts and experience an unforgettable view of Mt.Jhomolhari (7314 m). On the way back, you can visit a view of Paro Airport where mixture of emotions is felt while taking off and landing of flight happens. In the evening stroll through the Paro town and visit local handicraft stores. Overnight: Paro| altitude: 2250m.
Paro (Hike to Tiger’s Nest)
Activities
- After Breakfast 25mins drive to the base camp of the temple to start your hike to Tiger’s Nest temple complex (The must visit Place in Bhutan), the most revered temple in the country that literally hangs on a granite cliff overlooking Paro valley which dates back to 17th century.On this day one can also try Traditional hot stone bath, water is heated by submerging red-hot stones into the bath in which we dip our body and stay as long as we can, adding more hot stones when the water gets cold. This is also a popular curative method for body pains and is used throughout the country. Evening stroll around Paro town. Overnight: Paro- Altitude: 2250m
Paro – Airport Drop
