Day 1: Arrival at Guwahati – Manas National Park:
Our representative will welcome you at the Assam Airport/Railway Station. After breakfast, we will head to our first wildlife destination – Manas National Park, located in the Himalayan foothills on the northern bank of the Brahmaputra River. The resorts near Manas Park are beautiful. Stay at the resort and enjoy the natural beauty and tranquility of the place day and night.
Day 2: Manas National Park:
Get up close and personal with the beautiful sunrise and morning glory at the wildlife sanctuary. This one-hour safari will take us along dense and narrow paths to increase the chances of seeing wildlife.
Return to the resort for breakfast and refreshments. Our next adventure is a jeep safari through the national park which will last for about two and a half hours in total. The entire journey will show you the most amazing and pristine wildlife habitats.
After lunch at the resort, we will explore the Brahmaputra Valley and its semi-evergreen forests. The forests are very rich in Indian wildlife species such as the rare and endangered Assam ridgeback tortoise, fox-haired hare, golden langur and pygmy boar. After the fun, we return to the resort for dinner and rest for the next day.
Day 3: Manas National Park – Nameri National Park:
Today we head to our next natural gem, Nameri National Park, located in the eastern foothills of the Himalayas. This park is considered a paradise for bird watchers and elephant species. Upon arrival, head to the nature camp. Enjoy the evening at leisure or visit the nearby Pygmy Hog Foundation to learn more about the species. Pygmy hogs are one of the most endangered mammals in the world.
Overnight at the camp.
Day 4: Nameri National Park:
This morning we go on a fascinating rafting trip on the Jaboroli River. For this, we travel 25 km upstream from the resort and then enjoy a downstream rafting trip on a rubber boat. Admire the many winding waterfalls and if you are lucky, you can even see Bengal tigers and elephants on the riverbank from the boat. The rafting route is 13 km long and three hours is enough.
After the rafting we return to the camp for lunch. After lunch, we set off along the nature trails of the reserve. Here we are accompanied by the most famous forest guides and armed rangers. Forest walks are the best way to explore Nameri National Park, as they allow you to get very close to wild animals and spot rare species of white-winged ducks and hornbills.
Day 5: Nameri National Park – Kaziranga:
On the fifth day of your Assam adventure, we head to Kaziranga National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to the Indian Rhino. You will be taken to your resort in Kaziranga to refresh yourself. After freshening up, take a guided riverside tour of the forests near your accommodation. The area is located at the confluence of four rivers and is rich in rare flora and fauna, with a diverse forest landscape. You will also visit famous tea and rubber plantations and can purchase special Indian teas for your loved ones. Return to the resort for an overnight stay.
Day 6: Kaziranga:
Today we wake up a little early for our safari in the Kaziranga forests. Our representative will take you to the starting point in a jeep. Here we drive through the tall grasses as the morning mist slowly lifts, an unforgettable experience. Return to the resort for breakfast before embarking on our first jeep safari to the national park to view wildlife in the central area. After this exciting but rather tiring journey, take a short break until lunch. We will then proceed to our second jeep safari of the day, this time visiting the western area of the national park. Spend some time at the Donga viewpoint located in the western area. Later return to the resort for an overnight stay.
Day 7: Kaziranga – Guwahati – Departure:
After breakfast, we check out and drive to Guwahati. Upon reaching Guwahati city, we drive to the airport/train station for our onward flight.
